In 2026, we're introducing Level 2 — a brand-new class for building on the basics. Whether kimono is entirely new to you or you're ready to refine your technique, we'll guide you through it, one lesson at a time, at our Gardena studio.

Level 1 & Level 2 Kimono Classes
Both classes are taught in small groups at our Gardena studio, so you get plenty of hands-on guidance, from 4:00–5:30 PM.

This Class Is For You If...
You've never worn kimono before, you've only ever been dressed by someone else, or you'd simply like to start from the basics — the names of each garment, the nagajuban, and the half-width obi.

Classes begin with a minimum of 2 students.
- Orientation & an introduction to your kimono essentials
- Body-line preparation, nagajuban (under-kimono), and the kimono itself
- How to wear kimono and tie your obi
- A focused practice session on kimono and obi together
- Dress yourself in kimono, solo! Certificate of completion & photo session 📸

You've completed Level 1 — or you learned the basics on your own or from family — and you're ready to master the Nagoya obi, keep your kimono from coming undone, and dress with real confidence.
